Trevor has been a Te Araroa Trustee since 2006 and he convenes the Trail Integrity and Operations Committee.  His 45 year engineering career has largely been spent providing specialist consulting services in the development and management of infrastructure for tourism and recreation in parks and conservation lands throughout Aotearoa NZ.  He has been at the forefront of development of National Standards for walking tracks and has been active in the training of DOC staff and Councils in this field.  Trevor’s design and consulting work includes several of the Great Walks and Great Rides as well as parts of Te Araroa.   He is an active outdoor recreationalist and has walked and climbed on many of the well known trails around the world and in remote areas of NZ.
