Parcel drop locations change in the South Island

  • 03 Sep 2019

As a result of some recent changes at the Department of Conservation, they are no longer able to receive and hold Te Araroa walker parcels.  The areas effected are Arthurs Pass and Nelson Lakes.

Please see below for an update on places you can send your packages.

Arthurs Pass Vistor Centre

Food parcels can be sent to Bill Trolove, 11 Doncaster Street, Christchurch 8042 - Bill will take them across to the Arthurs Pass 2-3 times a week and have them ready when you arrive - please make contact with Bill on bill@oneoutdoors.com

Nelson Lakes Vistor Centre

Alpine Lodge offers a storage service they can be contacted on info@alpinelodge.co.nz to make arrangements.

The local store (St Arnaud Alpine Store) also sells a good selection of basic food items and tramping food. The Vistor Centre also sells camping gas and freeze-dried tramping food.

Should you have any questions please contact Mark Weatherall on mark@teararoa.org.nz
